Ms. Liu Jing firstly explained the operation process and rules of sand tray to the international students, and then led them to touch the sand, select and place the sand tools, and create a psychological sand tray work. During the activity, the international students felt gentle and relaxed, shared wisdom and warmth, shared and confided in each other under the guidance of the teacher, exchanged their intentions of placing each sand set and their feelings about the sand sets placed by other students, and through repeated communication and discussion, gathered their collective wisdom to create two pieces of work, "Safety and Peace" and "My Dream", which together expressed their hearts with sand sets and showed their hopes and aspirations for their future life and study in China. The two pieces of artwork, "Safety and Peace" and "My Dream", were created by the group.
Through sand trays and simple and rich moulds, participants can return to their original mind and understand themselves in the game, effectively preventing and resolving psychological problems. Through the sand tray experience, international students can open up their minds, communicate and cooperate, respect each other, understand each other, enhance team cohesion, and face their study and life in school with a more positive attitude and relaxed mood.
