On the afternoon of September 20th, the Institute of International Education held a seminar for teachers of international students in China this semester. Andy Lee, the secretary, Du Wei, the vice president, the management staff of the teaching office, and more than 20 teachers from the second affiliated hospital of Shandong First Medical University, clinical and basic medical colleges (basic medical research institutes), pharmacy colleges, stomatology colleges, public health and health management colleges, chemical and pharmaceutical engineering colleges and other teaching institutions attended the symposium.

At the meeting, Andy Lee thanked the teachers for their long-term support to the education and teaching of overseas students, and raised ardent hopes for the administrators and teachers studying abroad in China from three aspects: First, the quality is the core, and the higher education of overseas students in China plays a very important role in improving the overall international level of running schools. Schools (colleges) have always attached great importance to the education of overseas students, and improving the education quality of overseas students in China is an eternal theme. Second, reform is the key, and the road to educational reform has a long way to go, and it is not a one-off event. Teachers should have a lasting spirit, and their whole-hearted devotion will pay off. Third, the responsibility is the guarantee, the teacher, so to preach, teach and dispel doubts, to be a competent teacher and a qualified manager, you must be dedicated and courageous.

Subsequently, Du Wei systematically combed the basic experience of studying abroad in China since 1999 from four aspects: resources and guarantee, teaching and training, management and service, and quality control. He pointed out that at present, the education of international students in schools (colleges) is facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges. He hoped that the teachers in charge of classes could work with the Institute of International Education to take the opportunity of this higher education quality certification for international students in China and continue to do a good job in the education and teaching of international students. Finally, Associate Professor Wang Hong, the head of the special teaching supervision team of the Institute of International Education, gave feedback on the teaching supervision of foreign students' courses last semester.

The symposium was held in a relaxed and warm atmosphere. The participating teachers spoke freely and actively shared their feelings, thoughts and suggestions on teaching foreign students in China. Everyone said that in the future, they will continue to do a good job in teaching international students in China and contribute their own strength to the development of the university.

This symposium built a bridge of communication between the staff in charge and the teachers, and promoted the communication between the Institute of International Education and related teaching institutions. In the next step, the Institute of International Education will continue to rely on the characteristics and advantages of the school (institute), further integrate resources, constantly standardize the process of international students' training, teach students in accordance with their aptitude, realize the assimilation of Chinese and foreign students' training, continuously improve the quality of international students' training, create a window for high-quality development of the school (institute), and make new contributions to the internationalization process of the school (institute).
