School of International Education Holds Chinese Character Writing Contest for Foreign Students

In order to make the students of our school to further understand the broad and profound Chinese characters and Chinese culture and build a communication platform for Chinese learning, on the afternoon of June 16, the School of International Education held Chinese characters writing contest on the third floor classroom.

The contest is for the students above second grade, and each class selectes outstanding representatives to take part in the activity whose content is mainly about Chinese culture, history and geography through procedures related to Chinese characters and poetry writing, Chinese self introduction, talking stories after reading pictures. The players won the applause of the audience through perfect pronunciation and expression. Due to good preparation, the players answer questions fluently and demonstrate higher Chinese level. The competition sets up first, second and third prize. After fierce competition, Derick, Rishi, Chaudhary, Syed, Ahamed, Ahmed, Mujtaba, M.Babar won first prize, Kinza, Akram and other 7 players won the second prize,and Neelma, Mohammad and other 8 students won the third prize.

Chen Ningning and other teachers in the teaching and research section of the Chinese acted as the judges of the contest. The vice dean of the School of International Education Zhao Xiuxia and staff of teaching office watched the competition and presented prizes to the winners.
