I am doctor umar farooq.I graduated from Shandong First Medical university in 2018 as I am student of 2012 autumn batch section B.MR. MICHAL LU was our coordinator and I am very thankful to him that he performed his duty very well.

 I arrived in CHINA on 4 February 2013 , I still remember that day when I travelled to china along with my friends , it was first time for me to sit in aeroplane and first time for me to go abroad and my family was seeing off me with tears.when I landed in CHINA it was so cold and snowy day it was first time for me to see the snow and I was not even prepared for cold breeze that blow over snow , we all were almost frozen .First semester was very difficult for us as we don’t know what to eat and from where eat ,for first week our friends cooked for us,then later we start adjusting with Chinese food and start cooking by ourselves as well.

My first class was introduction to China .It was fun to study and We began to understand China. Our university had a wonderful library as well I started going to library from 3rd semester ,in the afternoon I used to go there for study.I got scholarship  and got the certificates of excellent student as I was not just good in study but I always participated in all the co curricular activities just like cricket ,football etc.In the winter holidays we started playing football , we used to go to football stadium of our university in the evening and play football in the freezing nights of winter under the lights ,which was beginning of our wonderful football team which went on winning football tournament year after year.

In august 2017 I got my NOC to start internship after completing all the semesters so, I came back to PAKISTAN to start my internship for one year in my DISTRICT HEADQUARTER HOSPITAL .After completing my internship, 25 October 2018 was that memorable day when I hold my degree and took oath of hypo crate. 

   After being graduated next step was to get licence so I start studying hard and gave my N.E.B exam which was in 2019 and passed all three steps in first attempt with good marks .I started my house in February 2020.

During my house job then a big turning point came ,yes it was Covid 19.

In April 2020 first case of Corona being reported in my hospital then we all went in emergency conditions, we made special wards for corona patients, we start carrying out tests to separate them .In my hospitals almost 1000 corona patients were admitted and its an honour for me to be the first doctor to do duty in corona ward .I used to stay in corona ward for 24 hours continuously.

It was tough time for us but we surpassed it by giving lots of sacrifices even I got infected with corona virus and stayed isolated for one whole moth as I was resuscitating a corona patient. I got great help as I was having links with china so I was getting lots of information and sharing with my colleagues that benefited us a lot.

I am still performing my duties and I will continue to work as a doctor and I will be proud to be doctor.
