In July 2011, Shandong First Medical University was approved as Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) test site by Office of Chinese Language Council International. This is the first test site in Tai'an and surrounding cities such as Jining, Liaocheng, Heze, Zaozhuang, and Linyi. In December of the same year, the opening ceremony was held. Up to now, this site has already organized more than 50 HSK paper-and-pen-based tests, and candidates were from South Korea, Japan, the United States, Russia, Nigeria, Thailand, Pakistan, India, Garner, Philippines, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and other countries. In June, 2017, it was officially approved to hold internet-based test. Internet-based test site can accommodate more than 100 candidates to participate in HSK online examinations of different levels.
