In the afternoon of January 12, the graduation ceremony for the 2021 class of undergraduates studying in China in autumn was held at the main campus in Jinan. Liu Sijin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the University (College), attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. Vice President Liu Chuanyong presided over the ceremony.

In his speech, Liu Sijin congratulated the graduates who had obtained their degrees with excellent results and sent his best wishes to them on behalf of the whole university for the new journey of career development they are about to embark on. Liu Sijin pointed out that the current situation is one of the most unprecedented changes in a century, with new opportunities and new challenges coexisting and overlapping with each other, and the global challenges in such areas as technological competition, trade protection, the division between the rich and the poor and cooperation in epidemic prevention have become more prominent. He hoped that international students should have ideals in mind, have the ambition to be responsible for the world, be down-to-earth, achieve new heights in life through practical work, be brave enough to climb, dare to pursue excellence and create the future, and in the most beautiful years of their lives, revitalize the wings of the sky, open up the journey of ten thousand miles, and continuously create new achievements worthy of the times and history.

Liu Chuanyong said at the ceremony that Shanda University will always be the harbor and solid backing for every graduate. He hoped that the graduates would continue to carry forward the realistic and hardworking spirit of Shanda students, embrace this era with their enthusiasm, become the strivers, innovators and thinkers of this era, and live up to their youthfulness and learning.

During the ceremony, Iram, the representative of Pakistani students, delivered a graduation speech in Chinese, expressing his great fondness for his teachers and classmates and his deep gratitude to his alma mater. Ms. Zhang Qianqian, the teacher of the Second Affiliated Hospital, expressed her best wishes to the graduates on behalf of all the international student teachers.

In the autumn of 2021, 80 international students from India, Pakistan, Nepal and Zambia graduated. The graduates have done well during their study period and actively participated in the theoretical courses and cultural and sports activities organized by the university (college), and have not only successfully completed their study tasks and achieved good results, but also cultivated the feelings of "knowing and friendship with China" during their rich and colorful campus life and study. They have achieved their expected goal of studying in China and laid a solid foundation for the new journey of their lives.
